Pearland Cobblers Name Peyton Birkelbach Head Coach

Pearland, TX — The Pearland Cobblers are proud to announce Peyton Birkelbach as the team’s Head Coach, bringing a strong background in leadership, player development, and deep ties to the Pearland community.

Birkelbach joins the Cobblers with a lifelong passion for baseball and a commitment to mentoring athletes both on and off the field. Professionally, he serves as a Resource Manager for Field Services at GE Vernova, where he has developed skills in leadership, communication, and organization, qualities that translate directly into his coaching philosophy.

“Baseball has always been a big part of my life, and I’ve developed a real love for coaching and mentoring players as they grow in the game,” said Birkelbach. “The lessons the game teaches—discipline, teamwork, resilience, and accountability, have shaped who I am as a coach, a dad, and in my professional career.”

A longtime presence in the Pearland baseball community, Birkelbach has been coaching locally since 2007, making this opportunity especially meaningful. “Representing this organization is a tremendous honor,” he said. “It means being part of something bigger than myself and helping build the foundation for what we want this program to stand for. I’m excited to serve the players, families, and the Pearland community.”

Birkelbach’s vision for success extends far beyond wins and losses. “Of course we want to compete and put ourselves in a position to win, but true success will be measured by our growth as a team,” he said. “We want to play the game the right way, improve every day, and build a culture of accountability, discipline, and effort. Our staff is committed to putting players first and making sure they return to campus ready to compete at a high level.”

The opportunity to impact players during a critical stage in their development is what excites Birkelbach most. “I’m excited to be part of their journey, helping them grow, build relationships, and create an environment where they can develop their skills and compete,” he said. “Baseball is the platform, but the goal is to help develop young men who are prepared for life beyond the game.”

Beyond the field, Birkelbach is focused on building a team that reflects strong values. “I want this team to represent character, accountability, toughness, and togetherness,” he said. “We want to be known for how we compete, how we treat people, and the attitude and effort we bring every day.”

With his deep community ties and passion for development, Birkelbach is poised to lead the Pearland Cobblers into an exciting and impactful season.

The Cobblers look forward to the leadership Birkelbach brings as they continue building a program that the Pearland community can proudly support.
